Rubber seems to be a fairly common fetish in the BDSM world, but lycra less so (and may not even be associated with strict BDSM anyway). We're into both, and at least lycra attracts a younger crowd :)

Rubber and Lycra are meant to be tight fitting - that's what makes them good to wear,
the feel of the material on your skin, the restrictivness and knowing that you're showing yourself off.
There's also the aspect (for Lycra at least) of seeing good looking athletes dressed in it as a youngster -
I still remember buying my first pair of cycling shorts when I was about 14 and getting very turned on by them!

It can be difficult to buy ready made rubber gear that fits properly, but it's easy enough
to find places that will custom make stuff for you. RoB in London made an excellent shorty suit
(with white stripes down the side) that fits really well. Without it fitting like a second skin,
there really is very little point in buying rubber gear.

Lycra

For lycra, there is a much wider choice of styles. Some people go for the plain, all over bodysuits
(with feet, gloves and hood) whereas others prefer lycra sports kit like the delicious fastskin or
cycling gear. If you're into Lycra in a big way, head over to Heros (should that be Heroes?)
which is once a month at the Backstreet in London.
It's very friendly and attracts quite a young crowd - shout if you're going!
