I’ve owned my fair share of “three-striped” latex over the years which has just been a simulacrum of the brand. As someone who’s an Adidas clothing enjoyer in everyday life I was super excited to find Adidas were selling actual, genuine, latex clothing in the USA last year. Obviously it all sold out instantly.
Fast forward to this year and Adidas started selling the same lines in Colombia of all places. I’d had an eBay search setup which picked up on this and a few messages with a seller later and I was able to grab a track top and bottoms. Yep, I paid for the privilege of using an intermediary and shipping from the other side of the world but at least I was able to add them to the collection.
The fit was a bit of a guess but luckily turned out to be pretty good. The items had “Made In China” as the origin but the construction is actually really good. They even came with a little wear guide which was a nice touch for first timers.
We had a great little photoshoot day at a local running track on the last day of summer. The sunshine really made the white lines pop in the gloss of the latex, and the orange, black, and blue contrasted perfectly.
If you are an Adidas and latex lover and you get the chance to pick some up in the future I totally recommend it.
